Site Manager - Commercial Projects - Auckland

We have an opportunity for a Site Manager with strong commercial construction experience who is looking to take the next step in their career.
This is your opportunity to work for a market leader in commercial construction and larger fit-out projects. Our client is a national company who have a passion for developing staff and providing an excellent service to their clients. This role will suit someone who enjoys being out and about, meeting clients, subcontractors and maintaining and building relationships.
In this role you will be working closely with the wider commercial team, council, subcontractors and Senior Management. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who is self-motivated, ambitious and able to multi-task and work to deadlines. This role will suit a Site Manager with excellent attention to detail, knowledge of NZ building codes and the Auckland construction market. You will receive support and mentoring from Senior staff. They have a number of interesting projects at the moment around Auckland ranging in value from $2m up to over $100m.

The successful candidate will have the following:
Trade qualification or Construction Management qualification preferred
Experience in commercial construction as a Foreman or Site Manager in New Zealand
Excellent communication skills and strong decision-making skills
Confident and driven
Organised and excellent attention to detail
Able to build strong relationships
Experience in procurement, using different project management and estimating software
Comfortable dealing with subcontractors, council, management team, stakeholders
