Project Administrator - Auckland

Are you an experienced Project Administrator looking for a new challenge? Or a Graduate Project Manager looking to get your foot in the door in the construction industry?

We have an opportunity for a Project Administrator to work on commercial projects in Auckland for a Tier one construction company.

This is your opportunity to work for a market leader in commercial construction in New Zealand. Our client is a national company who have a passion for developing staff and providing an excellent service to their clients. This role will suit someone who enjoys working in a site-based role and working as part of a team in the centre of the action.

In this role you will be working closely with the wider commercial team, council, subcontractors and Senior Management. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who is self-motivated, ambitious and able to multi-task and work to deadlines. You will receive support and mentoring from Senior staff. They have a number of interesting projects at the moment around Auckland ranging in value from $20m up to over $100m.

The company prides itself on its quality of delivery and longstanding relationships with clients. 

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Tertiary qualification or Construction Management qualification preferred

  • Previous experience in commercial construction preferred

  • Excellent communication skills and strong decision-making skills

  • Confident and driven

  • Organised and excellent attention to detail

  • Able to build strong relationships

  • Experience in procurement, using different job management software and CRM systems

  • Comfortable dealing with subcontractors, council, management team, stakeholders
